LIMA, PERU-29 May
We left for BWI around 02:30 am for an 06:25 for Miami, then left Miami around 10:00 pm to arrive in Lima, Peru around 03:00 am the morning....traveling requires stamina and patience--sleeping, nibbling, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles from a book that I've had since the 2000's. Fortunately we were able to get into our hotel room early than expected, but we were up around 07:30, had breakfast and ready to explore the streets of Lima in search of souvenirs given the short time our tour would be in Lima, the capital of Peru.
Our first outing with the tour was to the Larco Museum which houses a private collection of Incan artwork and artifacts. Then we had lunch at the Hacienda Mamacona where Paso horses are raised. Later in the evening, we walked through a section of Lima with a local guide and had dinner in a home that has been handed down from one of the early Spanish settlers. Enjoy the photos.
